Back in March I shared an earlier progress view of this particular watercolor, and now it is finally complete. I hope to present a variety of pieces in an art show, ranging from historical sites to other subjects.
Watercolor continues to be my reset button, especially when my mind is juggling research, deadlines, and long stretches of focused reading. I began this piece with pencil and gradually built up layers of color. I intentionally excluded vehicles, furniture, and other modern distractions to keep the focus on the courthouse’s historic character.
This is a 12×18 watercolor created using Master’s Touch watercolor paint on acid-free premium paper.
