We hosted an Adventure Party for Corban’s 7th birthday at JungleTrek in Rockwall that was fun for both girls and boys. All guests ranged from 5 to 8 years old and parents received a flyer invitation to RSVP. I texted parents the JungleTrek Waiver Form prior to the party to save time when they checked in.

Balloons, Decorations and Party Supplies
At Rockwall’s Party City we purchased some party supplies like a Jungle Balloon Bouquet for $20.00 and the price included helium inflation! There is a whole jungle party supply with cups, napkins, plates, decorations, party favors and more. Our party room was already decorated so all that we needed to purchase was table covers, plates, party favors, drinks and cupcakes.
JungleTrek Party Room 1
Excluding the paper towel roll, paper plates and party favor brown bags the party room was decked out with a jungle theme. Behind Corban there is a wooden box crate to display a birthday cake. Each party package includes a party host who will help decorate the room and/or place your cupcakes in the refrigerator. The two bench tables can fit comfortably 16 kids. There is plenty of seating for parents to sit on a park bench, garden patio chairs or to stand. Just outside the party room are several patio table and chairs for guests to sit also as well as have a view of the obstacle course.
Guest Arrival
When guests arrive they check in at the front desk to confirm their waiver, receive a wristband and then they are directed to the gear room. Our party host Dylan did a great job fitting each of our guests with a zip line safety harness and played the obstacle course instructions on the flat screen. My five year old twins did not really grasp that part at all…they were just focused on the big slide.
Skills Tested
On the floor it looks like a ninja course that you run, leap, hop and climb over walls. There is a climbing wall that has a Mayan theme to it that each of the kids were able to climb and repel down.
The room is going to seem small to most adults, but to a 7 year old it’s a confidence builder to get through the upper canopy ropes course. The JungleTrek Guides check the explorers straps, the cables and are encouraging when they direct each of the kids how to move through the obstacles.
Zip Line Platform
Several times Corban went through the upper canopy like a pro. After he finished zip lining to the platform I was able to get a better photo of him before he slid down the slide.
Help From The Zip Line Guides
Both of my daughters Nic Nic and Vivi were not exactly wanting to follow directions. They just wanted to go down the slide. The Zipline Guide explained that they had to go through the entire course to be able to slide down. After I climbed up the spiral staircase to the canopy platform we were finally able to resolve that issue. Don’t be afraid to ask the guides to have them walk through the course with your child. My twins are still learning to listen to instruction and sometimes you have to literally walk them through it.
Time Flies When You Are Having Fun
Your host will remind you when your pizza has arrived and to get your room ready to serve guests just before the last thirty minutes of your room reservation. Make sure to confirm with the JungleTrek Events Director 2 to 3 days before your party date your Mogio’s pizza order. We ordered 3 pizzas and I would recommend to order a minimum of two cheese pizzas. Most kids prefer the cheese over pepperoni. We also brought our blue igloo to keep our drinks cool and for kids to choose what they wanted to drink (Mini waters, fruit punch pouches, mini Dr. Pepper and 7 Up).
Birthday Cupcakes
Wal-Mart has a great selection of yellow sprinkle mix cupcakes that went with our jungle theme that came in vanilla and chocolate flavor. Everybody sang to Corban Happy Birthday! Corban was able to blow out his candles dramatically and made a wish.
Group Photo
All the kiddos took a group photo in front of the giant world map and we made it into a conversation piece.
Point To Where You Want To Live
After the group photo we asked the kids to point to where they wanted to live. It sounded like most wanted to live in Florida. As you can see they were fascinated and pointing to all sorts of places. Later we learned from many of them why they think they want to go there.
Birthday Gift Cart
JungleTrek provides a cart near the front desk to drop off your gift. Which was nice and I did not have to worry about my daughters going through them.
We customized our Adventure Package with JungleTrek by adding pizzas and added children as they RSVP. Many first timers certainly reached new heights and overall we had a pleasant experience. The facility was clean and the perfect size for young families with children between 5 and 9 years old. Clean up was quick and easy. We were able to throw away uneaten food, trash, wrappers into the faux crate in the corner. Our party host swept the floor of any crumbs and sanitized the tables for the next reservation. Check out was smooth to pay my balance and I added a tip for my host.

Tell me in the comments below what was your childhood birthday parties like? I can tell you mine were nothing like this at the age of 7. Mostly they were in the backyard with a sheet cake and a swing set as the main attraction. As I got older I may have been invited to a rollerskating party, bowling party and a sleepover where we played Girl Talk or toilet paper wrapped a friend’s house.
