“Water Lilly” is a 4×6 construction paper art craft that I did with my kids. I started with a blue construction paper and sized it to 4×6 to fit as the background and the surface for the craft to be glued onto.

From there we stenciled out single petals. The end of the petal had a half moon edge that stuck out so that there will be more of a surface to glue as it was placed on the blue paper. Depending on how many petals you wanted to the width of the petal is up to you. Before the petal is glued down. The petals were stacked and the ends were curled inward. Next we glued the petals in a circular pattern. We made it around twice. For the middle of the flower aka the “Pistil” we cut short rectangles, curved the edges and glued on one end in a circular pattern.

After all was glued we placed the finished craft into a 4×6 frame. My son Corban said that we need to make a total of four so that it wouldn’t be lonely on the wall. This latest work of art project is going in my twin daughter’s room to go along with their new floral bedding.
