The Salsa Was Missing

We know an amazing family that traveled to Hong Kong and there are some differences in the types of things that you may not find over there. So I decided to send a love package that included some of their favorites. One of them was a plastic bottle of Kirkland’s Salsa 2lb (6oz). And 4 packages of Dove chocolates that I found at the local Target.

It took 13 days for them to receive what look like the box had experienced a lot of unfortunate blows to the gut. When they showed me a crazy photo of what arrived. All I could think about was the scene from Ace Venture Pet Detective where he was disguised as a delivery guy and just kicked that box around before delivering it to the dogknapper. Here is the scene to jog your memory.

Needless to say that we were all surprised. Until my friends opened the package to share what was inside.

Apparently, the Kirkland’s Salsa which was contained in an unopened plastic bottle was not inside AND one of the four packages of Dove chocolates also was missing.

If this was a huge deal we would probably file a claim which anyone could do if you experienced anything like this here at USPO. It would need to be done within 60 days of the mailing date.

My friends and I had a good laugh about it. And I guess it will be one of those unforgettable memories. I just hope that whoever is munching on that salsa they know that it goes great with salty tortilla chips. And the chocolates are a good treat for those long days of working a long shift.

So what have you mailed out lately?
