Rockwall County Officials Sworn Into Office

As 2024 comes to a close and residents prepare for 2025, newly-elected and newly re-elected officials took their oaths of office at the Rockwall County Courthouse at 10 a.m. To commemorate the occasion, families, friends, colleagues, pastors, and the public attended the ceremony.

The officials sworn in were:

• 382nd Judicial District Judge Brett Hall
• 439th Judicial District Judge David E. Rakow
• County Court at Law No. 1 Judge Brian Williams
• County Court at Law No. 2 Judge Stephani Woodward
• Rockwall County Sheriff Terry Garrett
• Rockwall County County Tax Assessor-Collector Kim Sweet
• Rockwall County Commissioner Precinct 1 Bobby Gallana
• Rockwall County Commissioner Precinct 3 Lorne Liechty
• Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 Judge Ben Massar
• Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 Judge Mark Russo
• Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 Judge Liana Bell Whitten
• Rockwall County Constable Precinct 1 John Michael Bendetto
• Rockwall County Constable Precinct 2 Trey Chaney
• Rockwall County Constable Precinct 3 Dan Otto
• Rockwall County Constable Precinct 4 Randy Earl Parks
• Rockwall County Deputy Constable Jaime Howland
• Rockwall County Deputy Constable Ron Smith

Following the ceremony, a call for prayer was held by the Rockwall County Republican Party outside on the courthouse steps. Local religious officiants led attendees in prayer for America, Texas, and Rockwall County and for all elected officials, appointees and leaders.
