Open Fall Season With Yesterland Farms

Enjoy wide open fun, rides, a real corn maze and more!

Our family had a fantastic time at an amusement park located right on a farm in Canton, Texas. It was easy to park at Yesterland Farm and no hassles in entering through the grand pumpkin entrance just off of Interstate 20. Our tickets were purchased online and the ticket person just asked for me to download confirmation tickets on my smart phone to scan the QR Code. (COST: For a family of 5 $105.)

Lots of fun displays for selfies and family photos.

Rollercoaster

We headed over to the Runaway Rollercoaster and our children expressed their pure joy! Line wasn’t long so we were able to ride it again and again. Lots of bubbly laughs!

There is so many small rides that both children and parents can ride together. Amusement park swings, carnival style carousels and petting zoo areas! Kangaroos, llamas, lemurs as well as the goats and sheep peeking their heads through their stable walls. Cows, donkeys, chickens, turkeys and Yesterland’s Farm’s Great Danes. There were little machines to get some nibbles for the animals to eat from your hand.

Our outgoing Vivi.

Pony Corral

Just off the main path you can head inside the barn to take a turn to ride on the pony for $6 pp in cash. Vivi could not wait to get back in the saddle again. Earlier this year we attended a cowboy theme birthday party and she rode on a full grown horse in an open trail. She may be our rider in the family.

Nic Nic enjoying her first pony ride.

This was Nic Nic’s first time on a horse of any kind. She handled herself quite well and even tried to encourage the horse for the ride. She chatted with the pony to let her know she appreciated her doing a great job and other words of affirmation.

Ready to ride!

Corban enjoyed a quick ride too!

There goes Nic Nic.

Slides Are All The Rage

There were a few slides to ride there in the park and race friends down on another. None compared to the orange slide that wrapped around the Silo. You grabbed a burlap sack and headed inside the silo all the way up the stairs to the top near the roof. There was a little exit where you had just enough space to sit your keister down on the burlap while your child sat between your legs. My girls smiled and shouted with excitement as we made our way down. Such beautiful views! We lost count how many times we took the slide. Corban was big enough to slide on his own and thought that was the best thing ever!

The tractor driver drove us through a wooded area that has lights and sounds.

The Creepy Forest

Nice coverage of shade where we waited for a day trip tractor that pulled us through the spooky forest. I won’t give it away, but you have to go during the day and take the same ride at night. There was a lot of work done to give a good show. There was quite a few surprises that came out of nowhere. One of the most memorable experiences.

Unique Photo Op Areas for Selfies and Family Moments

Restrooms, Rest Areas and Reserved Shacks

Portable toilets, pump style hand washing stations and hand sanitizer stations throughout the area. There were multiple covered or uncovered dining areas or just a place to cool down. Host a private party or an event there. Definitely spacious for $50 with an online reservation. You can even have a campground setup with above ground camp fire to do s’mores and hot dogs. Host a barnyard dance or listen to the concert by the pond that has lawn chair seating and enough open space to get your groove on.

A traditional family friendly entertainment.

Pig Races

We watched a live pig race with a variety of pigs in different heats. There was a MC to rev up the crowd.

Quick stop for a convenient bite to eat!

Food & Drinks

Family friendly atmosphere we decided to order our food at Hog Wild which is an open space barn area where we ordered at the counter and staff delivers to a clean picnic table. This restaurant served barbecue brisket, corn dogs, pig steak on a stick, turkey legs, chicken tenders, pizza, macaroni, nachos and funnel cakes. There were other food trucks available with different menus. There were mobile cantinas serving wine and beer. Another popup or themed house served fresh squeezed lemonade. Candy, kettle popcorn, fudge and peach ice cream also available in cute festive locations. We got the souvenirs cups with refills for $4 at any station. We brought a backpack so the side pockets came in handy to carry them around with us.

Give it a go!

Cowgirl Skills

My husband showed the kids the ropes and Nic Nic surprised us all by lassoing a bull dummy. It was a sight to see. It was located right near the Pony Coral and the corn fields.

A MAZING!

The Giant Corn Maze

Good music got us in a good beat and we were off to go through this corn maze. It was fun to watch the kids trying to find their way through the beautiful cornstalks. Definitely our first time to go through a maze. Definitely a wonderful experience and such great views too! We were successful in exiting before dark. We did not do the night version mainly because we felt it wasn’t suitable for our children.

Those precious candid moments.

Near the Petting Zoo area you will find more games to play that are unique to the farm.

Crafty little play houses.

Little village areas to walk around and play hide and go seek in.

Nic Nic found a great view to people watch.

Kids will enjoy the playground under a canopy of trees. Slides, swing, see saw, spin and play houses to climb up.

Rides for all ages to enjoy!

Little Rides

There were carnival type of rides where kids were able to go on a small river canoe ride, a train, ferris wheel and other little rides for little ones too.

Peaceful views.

Natural Settings

Nearby the stage is a beautiful view of the pond that had a number of ducks just enjoying a quick swim. Lots of rose bushes and garden areas that just added to what makes Yesterland special.

Little shoppers!

Gift shops and Pumpkin Patches

Lots of little places to pick up some jam, boutique items and of course a tremendous amount of pumpkins ready to be displayed at visitor’s homes.
