While my husband has been adjusting to working from home these days. It is an extended Spring Break if you were to hear from my 5 year old son Corban.

Beautiful Day!

We have been spending hours outside just playing. It sure was a beautiful day! Why not enjoy being out. We have been eating mostly from home, but today we decided to be part of stimulating the economy. Along the drive into town, we visited a lovely friend of ours by delivering a gift to celebrate her birthday and share our best wishes.

Stumped on gift ideas?

Moiselle Moscato and a bouquet of spring flowers. This particular moscato has flavors of peach and apricot with hints of citrus and orange blossom. Pairs well with spicy cuisine, fresh fruits and light desserts. You can find this bottle at Aldi.

A Picnic

A picnic basket with a gift card to get an order to go. A nice blanket and some sunglasses. Specialty drinks like Italian sodas and directions to a place to picnic right off the lake. Also throw in a good book. (Nothing weird like 50 Shades of Grey.)

At The Carwash

Our kids are still young enough to be amazed by the lights, tools and spraying through the mysterious carwash drive-thru tunnel.

2 scoops of chocolate!

Our kids are still young enough to be amazed by the lights, tools and spraying through the mysterious carwash drive-thru tunnel. To add more to the adventure and to keep them busy we bought some Braum’s ice cream to eat during the ride. While they had single scoops in a cup we enjoyed the waffle cones. It’s been a very long time since I have had ice cream in a cone. When is the last time you had ice cream in a cone?

We do have one of those discounted memberships, but we decided to get The Carmel Special at the Carmel Wash in Rockwall. Many businesses are struggling right now and the staff need the work to be able to manage their own financial needs. I am not a supporter to what is going on in our economic climate. Sadly many are not aware of our rights as citizens of the United States of America. People are more concerned about the Coronavirus reports over abortions, suicides and PTSD that has been rising over the years long before a virus that has 98% chance of surviving.

Driving Around Town & Laughed At DJ Time Travel

Vivi sat with daddy while the SUV got detailed.

With our new clean car we drove around Lake Ray Hubbard. It was really nice to see boaters and fishing going on. Many walkers out too! It was not much traffic on the roads. We listened to some jams on the radio and tried our best to skip the depressing radio personalities. DFW radio stations are not that great. Although there was one DJ that tried to share a funny skit like traveling back in time to talk to their past self. Here is a video to get the reenactment.

After we got home, we hung out in the front yard. While Nic Nic drove the Powerwheels Dune Buggy over the rough terrain. Vivi and I laid back on the driveway looking up at the clouds. We eventually noticed a troop of ants and watched them for a bit as they carried food to their ant pile. It was quite entertaining and we talked about what we knew about the ant biology.

As evening came my daughters went to get their shower in to get ready for bed time. Corban and I headed to the backyard to water the plants. Then I swung him and we talked about random kid questions. And it was just one of those perfect evening moments of watching our night sky.

We are making the best of the situation. There are only a handful of things that we have had to be inconvenienced with. Although, I am not naive to know that there are many that are struggling and many organizations have added more burden to those who were already struggling. My prayer and hope is that people will be healthy and not give into fear. That whatever the cause to this mess will be exposed and that people in general will be better than when they entered this season of confusion.
