Happy Trees By Adrienne Balkum
My daughters each got to create from scratch a single tree by sketching the trunk in pencil. Then some shading with 3 colored pencils. From there I guided them to do the green foliage. Nicolette’s had a more swirly stroke that made up the leaves. I guess it shows their personality. Genevieve looks like the crown is in the shape of a star. On my tree I used a bit of a gradient technique that I originally started with yellow and worked a green color into it. Overall, I tried to do Bob Ross’s advice. I really liked how this series turned out.
