After Thanksgiving we travel north to a Christmas Tree Farm to get a tree for our home. While there we take a family photo, which often involves one or more cranky kids captured in the photos. One or both our daughters act like it is a painful experience.

It’s frustrating, but we all chuckle about it later. Sometimes the imperfect photo is the best photo. I have made peace with myself that I may not capture perfect family photos where all are smiling and looking at the camera with twinkles in their eyes. I have used these photo ops for greeting cards which are always a big hit.

This year was the first year that we actually purchased TWO TREES for Christmas. One for the family and the other for the kids. We had enough lights to decorate both. We have always talked about getting individual trees per room.

Decorating anything in our home has always been a stress. Hopefully this will be the year that I don’t see the ornaments in the water.

From our family to yours, I wish you the warmest greetings as you celebrate this Christmas season.
