As the former Mayor Pro Tem of McLendon-Chisholm, I’m honored to share the statement below from my colleague, Council Member Floyd McLendon Jr. During my time on the City Council, I witnessed troubling behavior from Bryan McNeal—then a fellow council member—that foreshadowed the pattern of dishonorable conduct Floyd describes, now as Mayor. Floyd, a retired Navy SEAL with over 25 years of service, has always been a steady voice of integrity and purpose. I’ve seen him challenge others with respect, support veterans in need, and uphold the principles he lives by. His decision to speak out now is not just courageous—it’s necessary. Below is his full press release, and I stand with him in urging our community to look deeper into these serious allegations.
Floyd’s statement is just the start. For too long, McLendon-Chisholm has watched troubling behavior from its leadership go unchecked—by council members, elected officials, and even veteran groups who’ve turned a blind eye to their ‘brother’ who has disturbing conduct. Soon, I’ll launch a podcast to uncover the untold story of this dishonorable Mayor. This isn’t about settling scores—it’s about the truth our community deserves. Stay tuned, McLendon-Chisholm, for a story buried too long.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments below or send me an email—I’d love to hear from you!

It’s about time we come together as a community. Elected officials should be held to a higher standard, not protected from the consequences of their actions. Integrity is imperative. This city has issues that need to be focused on and resolved or we are heading for some very serious problems. Thank you for always being a voice of truth and providing the public with proof, not just your personal opinions.
Thank you for always stating the truth! Even for those you don’t want to listen or believe it. Our leaders should be held accountable for their actions and to the highest of standards. Floyd is a man of integrity that has been bullied not only in person but online as well… and I’ve viewed the remarks by the mayor encouraging it instead of stopping it.
We live in a community where adults high school bulling behavior is encouraged and acceptable. While we have a mayor sporting a Sonic cup in one hand and speaking about bringing the community together in the other.
There are many upset but afraid to speak up. Afraid that there will be a video naming them, the online bullying, and such.
I have known and supported Floyd McClendon for over 8 years. He is straight forward and honest. Always trying to take the high road in politics. But, I lived in Rockwall county for over 32 years and I know of the overstepping and intimidating actions of those who feel elite in that county. Have you thought about organizing a recall of this mayor? Also, as always. Thank you Adrienne for shinning a light on dark places
Thank you Allene! Very kind words that you shared about Floyd and I agree. If things don’t get course corrected I might have to get involved.
