My tip for baking deliciously savory banana bread is to use dark brown or black bananas. Their rich flavor and natural sweetness make all the difference. Check out the ingredients and simple directions below.

Ingredients:

2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs beaten
2 1/3 cups mashed over ripe bananas

Directions:

1. Preheat oven 350 degrees
2. Grease pan with butter or use a parchment paper.
3. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a large bowl.
4. In a separate bowl, cream together melted butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas.
5. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture until moisten.
6. Pour batter in prepared loaf pan.
7. Bake 60 to 65 minutes.
8. Let cool for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing.
