Hey there, art lovers! I’m thrilled to share my latest watercolor piece, 9 Branches, a little burst of joy on paper! I couldn’t resist grabbing my brushes and diving into this one, and I’m so excited to tell you about it.
I painted this on some fantastic Deckle Edge Watercolor Paper, Cold Press (4×6, 30-sheet pack). The feathered edges give it such a charming, old-school vibe—like it was crafted on a deckle wooden frame from way back when. I sketched my lines lightly with a pencil, and erasing was a breeze once the painting was done. The paper’s texture is just perfect for watercolor, blending colors beautifully and drying quickly.
For this piece, I kept it simple yet fun: a tree trunk with branches splitting off in all directions. I used my trusty Royal & Langnickel brushes (love the variety of sizes in the pack!) to add playful dots and circular bursts of color, starting with the lightest shades first. The result? A vibrant, happy mini painting that’s got me itching to create more!
If you’re looking to try watercolor yourself, I totally recommend grabbing that Deckle Edge Watercolor Paper and Royal & Langnickel brushes. They make the process so smooth and enjoyable!
So, what’s next? I’m on the hunt for my next muse—got any ideas? Drop a comment below or shoot me an email. Can’t wait to hear what inspires you!
